"Flexible pattern recognition" as a mind control technique
What is up with SJWs' pattern recognition?
In other words, they seem to easily see patterns when it comes to certain things (e.g., oppression of minorities, privilege of certain groups).Yet, they seem to unable to see obvious patterns when it comes to other things (e.g., the election, the negative effect of social justice on society).
It's not that they can't perceive patterns or assess logical statements. The problem is that their use of these abilities is very, very flexible and selective.
Jessee Lee Peterson's interviews on The Fallen State are very instructive about this characteristic of SJWs. For example, in the following segment, an SJW becomes unable (or unwilling) to recognize patterns when confronted:

SJWs' ability to turn on and off their pattern recognition is very interesting. I believe some of them are pretending and just want to win debates at all price. Yet others seem to not be fully conscious that they are doing so. I think some of them experience a type of temporary cognitive dysfunction. Because of their sudden inability to process the narrative, they assume the narrative is wrong.
Flexible pattern recognition branded as "critical" thinking
This temporary cognitive dysfunction is praised in certain settings. In universities, particularly in social studies and similar fields, SJWs' "flexible pattern recognition" is called "critical thinking." In the academic social setting, certain ideas are supposed to be under constant scrutiny (e.g., Western civilization), while others are supposed to be seen as axioms (e.g., oppression of minorities). Only certain patterns are supposed to be recognized. In universities, individuals are trained to turn on and off their pattern recognition.
Flexible pattern recognition as a method of social/mind control
I think training to turn on and off pattern recognition is a form of social control, similar to brainwashing and mind control. Indeed, what is mind control other than control of pattern recognition?
Furthermore, pattern recognition is a way of putting all the events in "perspective." Having a false narrative means that certain events will be minimized or exaggerated or even missed. Therefore, controlling the subject's narrative (i.e., pattern recognition) is a way to affect perception. In this way, the subject may not even be fully "aware" of what they are doing.
NPCs don't create
Unfortunately for SJWs (and fortunately for everyone else), this "flexible pattern recognition" has its downfalls. For example, it is hard for SJWs to innovate. Innovation often means associating things in new ways. Given that SJWs' pattern recognition is somewhat socially controlled, they can't innovate as much. And the more they will become controlled, the less they will be able to innovate.
